Sierra Gear & Axle at Easter Jeep Safari 2012

For the last 46 years, the Moab Easter Jeep Safari has been held in Moab, Utah. This epic event takes place for the nine days preceeding Easter Sunday. Organized by the Red Rock Four Wheelers, the event attracts 4-wheel enthusiasts from across the globe, and features more than a week of organized trail runs, manufacturer, club and media runs and a huge vendor show. The vendor show has become a who’s who in the off road industry, and features hundreds of manufacturers and shops displaying their wares.

JK Wrangler Chromoly Axle Shafts

Sierra Gear Chromoly axle shafts have a 10 year warranty, are built for high-performance use and are far more durable than stock axle shafts. These axle shafts are available for all Dana 30 and Dana 44, Rubicon and non-Rubicon models, including a 35 spline Dana 44 upgrade axle kit that can be installed with various locking differentials. Sierra Gear & Axle’s Front axles use the stronger JK 1350 U joint, unlike some axle kits that use a 1310 U joint. Sierra Gear Cut-to-Fit Axle Shafts

Do you have a custom width or hard to find axle housing? Sierra Gear and Axle offers universal cut-to-fit axle shafts for multiple applications including 9” Ford, Dana 44, Dana 60 and 8.75” Chrysler. These are available for both stock and custom spline applications, and feature stock replacement or chromoly material.  Sierra Gear’s cut-to-fit axles feature longer splines, up to 11” so the axle can be measured and cut-to-fit most stock and narrowed rear ends.  These versatile axles are also multi-drilled for different bolt patterns.  With the correct housing ends, these axles can be used for a wide variety of custom or stock differentials.

Sierra Gear & Axle offers a line of Chromoly axle shafts intended for high performance use. 4340 Chromoly steel can be hardened to maximize the strength and ductility, or give, of an axle shaft. Sierra Gear Chromoly axle shafts are far more durable than standard stock axle shafts. Stock shafts are normally made from 1040 and 1541 steel and are perfectly adequate for stock applications. NOW AVAILABLE! New Pontiac GTO, G8 and Camaro Gears

Sierra Gear and Axle announces the availability of ring and pinion gear sets for the 2004-2008 Pontiac GTO, the 2008 and newer G8, and for the 2010 and newer Camaro. The GTO gears are available in 3.70 and 3.90 ratios. The G8 gears come in 3.90 and 4.11. The Camaro gears are available in 3.91 and 4.10 ratios. These ratios will allow you to gear your vehicle lower for more power off the line. All gear sets are made from high quality 8620 steel and come with the Sierra Gear 2 Year Limited Warranty. Sierra Gear @ RENO Off-Road Expo

Every off-road enthusiast will appreciate all that the Reno Off-Road Motorsports Expo has to offer.

While at the show, you’ll see the latest and greatest in off-road vehicles, off-road gear, innovative products and the companies from Northern Nevada and Northern California who can provide you with all the essentials for your off-road lifestyle.

The show will provide attendees the opportunity to compare the products of local business owners, as well as, shop for all your off-road recreation needs—all at one great big show, for three great days.

Recap of the show:

The Reno Off-Road Expo was held at the Reno convention center on march 25-26-27th. This was our first time attending the event so we did not know what to expect. The show started off slow on Friday probably due to the fact highway 80 was closed or because people were at work.

The show opened on Saturday with much better attendance and was packed. People came by the booth with plenty of questions about the Sierra Gear & Axle products as well as the many product distributed through West Coast Differential.

Sunday was more of the same with the majority of people showing up mid morning to early afternoon. All in all it was a good show. In this tough economy we cant always judge a show by amount of product sold but utilize the time for greater brand awareness and letting people know who we are and what we do.
